Bengaluru lost their way early under the pressure of 217 runs. Faf du Plessis, Anuj Rawat, Virat Kohli, and Glenn Maxwell returned to the dressing room within 50 runs.
However, Shahbaz Ahmed and Suyash Prabhudessai fighting a 60 run standoff with 33 balls kept the hopes alive. When Shahbaz was dismissed for 41, that hope was dashed a lot.
Dinesh Karthik’s innings of 34 off 32 balls towards the end only reduced the margin of defeat. Bangalore’s innings stopped at 193 for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs.
