Saikat recently made history as the first Bangladeshi umpire in the ODI World Cup. He officiated in five matches, including the Australia-New Zealand game in the 2023 World Cup. Additionally, the 44-year-old served as the fourth umpire in three matches, including the England-New Zealand opening match, and acted as a television umpire in three more matches.
