Sylhet Set to Resurrect Test Cricket After Five Years

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced that Sylhet will be the venue for the first Test match of the series between Bangladesh and New Zealand, starting on November 28. Additionally, Dutch Bangla Bank has been revealed as the title sponsor for the upcoming three-match ODI series.

Second Test at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium

Following the Sylhet Test, the second and final match of the series is scheduled to be held at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on December 6.

A Five-Year Hiatus Ends

Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, inaugurated as the seventh Test venue in 2018, will host a Test match after a five-year interval. The last Test held there saw Bangladesh facing Zimbabwe, resulting in a 151-run victory for Zimbabwe.

New Zealand's ODI Series in Bangladesh

Currently, the New Zealand team is in Bangladesh for a three-match ODI series. After this series, both teams will head to India to participate in the ICC ODI World Cup.

Day-Night ODIs in Mirpur

All three ODIs will be played as day-night matches in Mirpur. The first ODI is scheduled for September 21, followed by the second and third matches on September 23 and 26, respectively.
