Mustafizur, the expert in cutters, is now the sole Bangladeshi cricketer selected in the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) auction. The left-arm pacer was secured by the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at his base price of INR 2 crore during the Dubai auction on Tuesday.

When he was asked about his feeling for getting picked by Chennai, he said,” Very excited. If I get the opportunity I will play for all the franchise in the IPL,” said Mustafiz.

Mustafizur has played in seven IPL seasons and represented four different teams. In the last edition, he was part of the Delhi Capitals. Notably, he’s the only foreign player to win the Emerging Player award in 2016, achieved when Sunrisers Hyderabad claimed the IPL title.

In his IPL career, the left-arm pacer has taken 47 wickets in 48 matches with an economy rate of 7.93.
