The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has undergone a radical change in recent times. Najam Sethi has been appointed as the chairman of the PCB in place of Ramiz Raja. He has given the responsibility of chief selector to legendary cricketer Shahid Afridi.

Shahid Afridi has been trying to bring Mickey Arthur back to Pakistan after his arrival. Mickey Arthur was informally offered by the PCB, but the 54-year-old coach rejected the offer.

Arthur said, “I have repeatedly said that the Derbyshire County team is always very close to my heart. I enjoy working with Eddie Barlow, and Fred Sowerbrooke. That love has grown even more after my first season with the club. ’

“As soon as I set foot in Derbyshire, I received a warm welcome from the fans. We have many talented cricketers in our squad. I want to help them improve further. I want to fight to win the county title. I am very happy with the way the club is running from top to bottom. From cricketers to supervisory positions, there is a touch of professionalism in everything. I am being helped in every way to reach my goal. ’
