Lanning’s return to professional cricket came after a hiatus of six months, during which she missed the women’s Ashes series due to undisclosed medical reasons.

Meg Lanning’s innings was nothing short of spectacular. However, her innings came to an end on the very next ball, as she attempted a late cut behind point but ended up hitting Zoe Britcliffe’s delivery onto her stumps.
