BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia stated that the board will spend the next 48 hours gathering feedback, after which a meeting will be held to outline the league’s way forward. Sixteen matches are still left in the season, including four crucial playoff games.

BCCI Plans IPL 2025 Resumption in May After Ceasefire

Following the ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan, which took effect at 11:30 GMT (17:00 IST / 16:30 PKT) on Saturday, the BCCI is moving toward resuming IPL 2025 in May.

Franchises are already working to bring back their overseas players, many of whom had departed India earlier on Saturday amid the conflict.

“The war has stopped. In light of the new situation, BCCI office bearers, officials, and the IPL Governing Council will meet on Sunday to discuss the matter and decide the way forward,” BCCI Vice-President Rajeev Shukla told PTI Videos. “We’ll explore the best possible schedule to complete the tournament.”
