Harshal Patel recently expressed his gratitude to the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) after being released from the squad for the upcoming IPL season. The 33-year-old pacer thanked everyone on Instagram for their support during his difficult times and expressed gratitude for the amazing three years he spent with the team.

In the 2023 IPL season, Patel secured 14 wickets with an economy rate of 9.66. His most notable accomplishment occurred in 2021, when he won the coveted Purple Cap after taking 32 wickets in 15 games.

RCB has released players including Wanindu Hasaranga, Josh Hazlewood, and Harshal Patel for the 2024 IPL season. The retained players list includes Faf Du Plessis, Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, Will Jacks, Rajat Patidar, and Mohammed Siraj, among others.
