Harry Tector was the most successful and highest run-scorer from their side who scored 45 runs in 42 balls with the help of two boundaries and one huge six. Paul Stirling also performed well and scored 34 runs. He faced 25 balls and smashed four boundaries and one huge six. George Dockrell scored 14 runs while Lorcan Tucker scored 10 runs.

The bowling unit of Ireland also failed to give the best performance in their first match of the super 12. They failed to defend the target of 129 runs and leaked this target in just 15 overs. Gareth Delany was the only bowler from their side who picked a wicket in four overs against 28 runs. No other bowler from their side could manage to pick any wicket. Joshua Little, Mark Adair, Barry McCarthy, Curtis Campher, and Simi Singh were the bowlers who failed to pick any wicket. Ireland needs to give the best performance in each and every department of the game to compete against the strong teams in this tournament.
