Opting to bat first after losing the toss, their batting performance fell short as they managed only 95 runs in their allotted 10 overs. James Vince emerged as their top scorer, notching 24 runs off 14 balls, featuring one boundary and two substantial sixes. Skipper Rovman Powell also contributed with 19 runs off eight balls, smashing a boundary and two sixes.
Quinton de Kock added 11 runs, while Johnson Charles scored nine runs before their innings concluded. However, the Bulls’ bowling unit struggled in the subsequent defense, conceding the 96-run target in 9.4 overs. Employing six bowlers, Fazalhaq Farooqi proved the most successful, claiming two wickets in two overs for 17 runs. Dwayne Bravo also secured two wickets but was charged for 22 runs. Wasim Akram and Naveen-ul-Haq managed one wicket each, whereas Richard Gleeson and skipper Rovman Powell couldn’t bag any wickets in the match.
New York Strikers: In their recent clash against the Northern Warriors, the New York Strikers continued their winning streak, securing a three-wicket victory. Akeal Hosein proved the most effective bowler, claiming a wicket in his one over while conceding only five runs. George Scrimshaw also contributed well, securing a wicket in his one-over spell despite giving away five runs.
