It is known that Chatara suffered a collarbone injury after playing two matches in the World Cup qualifiers at home recently. After that, he was dropped from the team. Muzarabani has the same misfortune. The pacer suffered a thigh injury after four matches of the qualifiers. After that, he lost his fitness to enter the field. As a result, he got 5 wickets in 4 matches and could not play in the World Cup qualifiers.

These two Zimbabwean pacers are unable to overcome injuries before the Bangladesh series. All-rounder Tony Munyonga and pacer Tanaka Chivanga have replaced them in the team for the entire series, who also played as a substitute for Chatara and Muzarabani in the World Cup Qualifiers.
