Bangladesh cricketer Mosaddek Hossain Saikat was injured after being hit by a ball during practice at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. The incident took place around 12:30 pm on Monday, but the authorities concerned are denying the matter.
It is learned that during practice, a ball hit Mosaddek’s thigh hard and he fell to the ground. Later, he was rushed to Al Haramain Hospital in Sylhet city.
He was admitted to the hospital around 2:00 pm after undergoing an MRI.
However, the concerned people are hiding the matter of Mosaddek’s injury. Several people associated with the BCB refused to talk about it. Farhad Qureshi, general secretary of Sylhet divisional cricket committee and media in-charge of Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, told Kaler Kantho, “I can’t say anything clearly about this as I am out. But I don’t have any such information. I don’t know how misinformation spread. ’
A person associated with the Bangladesh ‘A’ team, who did not want to be named, said, “Mosaddek got injured during the practice. He underwent an MRI. The injury is not serious. However, there is uncertainty about being able to play in the match. ’
The second four-day match between India ‘A’ and Bangladesh ‘A’ is scheduled to begin at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday. Both the teams are now in Sylhet ahead of the match. Earlier, the first four-day match in Chittagong was drawn.
