Channel 5 has teamed up with Sky to present daily highlights of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 on free-to-air TV across the UK. These highlights will provide comprehensive coverage of each match, featuring insights from some of the sport’s most prominent players, past and present. This partnership is part of a commercial agreement with Sky, which holds the exclusive UK rights to live coverage of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 and will broadcast highlights packages on its pay sports channels.

Under this new agreement, Channel 5 will serve as the terrestrial home for 48 one-hour highlights programs throughout the World Cup, including at least nine England games scheduled at 7 pm. Following their linear TV broadcasts, all highlights will be accessible on Channel 5’s on-demand platform, My5.

This collaboration enriches Channel 5’s burgeoning sports portfolio, which already includes live boxing, Legends Darts tournaments, and Monday night NFL matches. The channel previously served as the free-to-air home for cricket, airing England’s team highlights every summer from 2006 to 2019.
