The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is delighted to announce the highly anticipated schedule for India’s domestic cricket season 2023-24. Spanning from the last week of June 2023 to March 2024, this action-packed season will feature a staggering total of 1846 matches.
The Duleep Trophy, the prestigious tournament that marks the beginning of the domestic season, will kickstart the proceedings from June 28, 2023, until July 16, 2023. Following this, the Prof. Deodhar Trophy will take place between July 24, 2023, and August 03, 2023. Both tournaments will showcase the talents of teams representing six zones: Central, South, North, East, West, and North-East. Fans can look forward to the highly anticipated Irani Cup, featuring an exciting clash between Saurashtra and the Rest of India, starting on October 01, 2023.
After these thrilling multi-day tournaments, the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy will take center stage. The former will captivate fans from October 16, 2023, to November 06, 2023, while the latter will entertain cricket enthusiasts from November 23, 2023, to December 15, 2023. These white-ball tournaments will showcase the skills of 38 teams, divided into two groups of seven teams and three groups of eight teams.
As one of the premier domestic cricket tournaments worldwide, the highly anticipated Ranji Trophy will commence on January 05, 2024, and continue until March 14, 2024. The 38 teams will be divided into five groups, consisting of four Elite Groups with eight teams each, and one Plate Group with six teams. Teams in the Elite Group will engage in seven league-stage matches, with two teams from each group progressing to the Quarterfinals. The six teams in the Plate Group will participate in five league-stage matches, and the top four teams will secure a place in the semi-finals.
In addition to the men’s tournaments, the women’s domestic cricket season will also showcase exciting matchups. The Senior Women’s T20 Trophy will commence on October 19, 2023, and conclude on November 09, 2023. Following this, the Senior Women’s Inter Zonal Trophy will captivate fans from November 24, 2023, to December 04, 2023. Finally, the Senior Women’s One-Day Trophy will start on January 04, 2024, culminating in the grand final on January 26, 2024.
