In a significant change to the Pakistan Shaheens squad for the 19th Asian Games, all-rounder Mubasir Khan has been called upon to replace the right-arm fast bowler Mohammad Hasnain.
This choice was due to Hasnain’s incomplete recuperation from an ankle injury, compelling him to withdraw from the imminent cricketing tournament.
The 19th Asian Games cricket tournament will be conducted in a T20 format. As per the tournament’s regulations, the Pakistan Shaheens will make their entry into the event from the quarter-finals stage, slated to occur on the 3rd and 4th of October. The semi-final matches are planned for 6th October, while the highly probable grand final is locked in for 7th October. Furthermore, the bronze medal bout is also on Saturday 7th October.
