India’s Jasprit Bumrah and Pakistan’s Shaheen Shah Afridi are considered the two best bowlers in the cricket world at present. Both pace bowlers are popular as speedsters in their respective countries. However, Bumrah is more popular than Shaheen in the cricket world. But former Pakistan all-rounder Abdul Razzak thinks that Shaheen is a better pace bowler than Bumrah despite his popularity.
He said, ‘Shahin Afridi is much better than Jasprit Bumrah. Bumrah is not even close to the quality of Shaheen. ‘Abdul Razzak has been criticized in the Indian media for making such comments about Bumrah. However, this is not the first time. Earlier in 2019, the former Pakistan all-rounder called the Indian speedster a ‘baby bowler’.He said, ‘I played against great bowlers like Glenn McGrath and Wasim Akram, so Bumrah was a baby bowler in front of me and I could easily dominate him and attack him easily.’His comments were not taken well by the Indian media.
Both Bumrah and Shaheen are now out with injuries. Even if Bumrah is unable to play the first two Tests of the upcoming series against Australia, Indians are hoping that Bumrah will return to the field after recovering from a back injury in the third Test. However, it is not yet known when Shaheen will be able to return after recovering from a knee injury. Bumrah has taken 319 wickets in international cricket since his debut in 2016. After two years, Shaheen Shah Afridi entered the field in the jersey of the national team. So far he has taken 219 wickets.
