The only consolation for Chepauk Super Gillies has been a Net Run Rate figure that does not make for a bad reading.

Narayan Jagadeesan’s heroics have been unable to prevent CSG from losing the two matches. He was 63 not out in the match against Nellai Royal Kings, bringing his season’s tally to 81 runs with an average strike rate of 119.

Captain Baba Aparajith has been the best player for CSG by a significant margin. The captain has scored 62 runs from his two matches at an average of 38 and a strike rate of 131. He has also picked up one wicket with an economy of 6.00.

Ajith Ram might have only picked up two wickets from his four overs, but he was very effective in containing the opposition. At an average economy of just 3.25 from his four overs, Ajith Ram was instrumental in almost giving TT a win over LKK.
